The rooms were very spacious and the beds were incredibly comfortable! We all had the best night's sleep. I suffer from Insomnia and had 2 amazing night's sleep for me. Even though it was an older apartment, we booked it due to the location near the sporting venue we needed to go to daily; to having a separate room for us parents; to have more space for our gear since travelling by car and doing other activities while in Townsville; for the size of the fridge and the kitchette area for storing things, warming up food and the sink and bench area.

It was excellent. Budget friendly, very clean and tidy, our bins were emptied daily and the beds were so so comfortable with an a abundance of plump cushions. And with Dan Murphy’s right beside it and a walk across the car park to the pub, the location was perfect. The pub food was amazing for the nights we didn’t have the energy to go too far and the staff of both the pub and the hotel were just lovely and very warm and friendly.

The Vale Hotel is always our first choice for overnighters in Townsville on our way further up north as it is located on one of Townsville's arterial roads, is also close to a major shopping centre, a pharmacy, and if you're inclined to wet your whistle, a bottle shop. We love the security of a gated complex and the convenience of a short walk to delicious meals at the bistro. The beds are also super comfortable!

Felt very safe and secure. Car was parked in secure garage. Beds were comfortable. Basic room but it was very tidy. Beds had very clean linen. White towels replaced daily. Travel size toiletries body wash, shampoo, conditioner and soap. Had tea, coffee, sugar and biscuits each day. Coffee cups, glasses and basic washing up products provided. Milk in fridge. Was very quiet. Shower was spotless.

The location was centralised and easy to find. Room clean. We were very pleased that it had a lock-up garage. Bed comfortable. Easy checkout - leave keys on bench and lock up. Stayed 2 nights and were surprised that the beds were made up and clean towels delivered on day 2.
